Please contact your Senior Warden, Kate Hurst (senior.warden@cecbastrop.org) if you can help out with these activities or if you simply want more information about service opportunities at Calvary.

Needed: New Leads Needed for Foyer Groups

If you have planning and organizational skills, this may be the ministry for you!

Foyer Groups are a great way to really get to know people from Calvary. These groups of 8-12 individuals meet once a month for part of the year to share a meal. These meals may be potluck affairs or a gathering at a restaurant; each group decides the format.

We need someone(s) to get this ministry organized for the coming year. If you have planning and organizational skills, this could be a great volunteer opportunity for you. Please reach out to Jan Stringer at janstringer@yahoo.com or Kitty Howell at howellkitty46@gmail.com for more information or to volunteer.

Volunteers needed at the MERC
Board Members Needed

R A Green Mercantile is a collection of small startup businesses located next to our Parish Hall on Main Street. Many of our local artisans and crafts persons offer their creations in these small shops. This ministry and the spaces it occupies are overseen by a Board of Directors. We currently have a variety of positions available to assist with oversight of this activity. Reach out to LaDonna Love, Vestry Liaison, or Kate Hurst, Senior Warden.

Church Receptionist
Parish Hall Receptionist

If you have some time each week, we have need for a Parish Hall receptionist on Wednesday and Thursday to answer phones, help people coming into the Parish Hall, and to do some other clerical tasks. Any amount of time you can give on a regular basis between 9 AM – 2 PM would be appreciated. Reach out to Kate Hurst, Senior Warden or Tracy Yeargin, Administrative Assistant.

The Downtown Committee Needs Volunteers!

The Calvary Downtown Committee will be welcoming visitors during the Bastrop Homecoming Parade on Saturday, August 1st by offering complimentary bottled water, providing access to the Parish Hall restrooms, and extending Calvary’s warm hospitality to everyone who stops by. We are looking for two volunteers to serve from 9:30 AM until noon. This is a wonderful opportunity to greet our neighbors, share the hospitality of our church, and help our community stay cool during the parade.
