How can I exhibit?

Each artist or crafts person may submit up to 8 entries; up to 4 will be immediately displayed and 4 will be held in reserve to replace each item sold. If the submission is a collection of smaller inexpensive pieces such as greeting cards, earrings, or prints, they may be submitted as one piece as long as each item is priced the same (e.g. $10 each, set of 6 for $15).  

Bring your item(s) to the Parish Office at 1028 Main Street on Monday, September 14th or Tuesday, September 15th. Staff will be on hand to receive your submissions between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. No artwork will be accepted after September 15th.

You MUST complete the submission form fully. You may do this online or download and print out a form for your entries. All entry forms must be submitted no later than September 15th. 

There is no entry fee. Your submissions will be itemized and numbered, creating price tags with explanation plaques using your descriptions. All sales are tracked through Square. Optional replacement pieces will be displayed as sales occur; The commission split is 40% to Calvary Episcopal Church, 60% to the artist. Some artists contribute all procedds to Calvary. A single check for items sold, may be picked up or will be mailed to you within one week to ten days of the event.

Why should I exhibit?

Our Parish Hall, at the intersection of Main & Spring Street in Bastrop, is a prime venue for exhibiting your creative efforts. The Opera House, right around the corner, will have the Newsies production that weekend. Last year saw hundreds of shoppers, some lingering hours, some making purchases in fifteen minutes. 

  • As stated, there is no entry fee. The artists earn 60% of any pieces they sell. The other 40% of the sale price helps support community ministries and other downtown events.
  • The universal attraction of the Calvary Art Fest is that artists of any age or skill level, professionals and hobbyists, are encouraged to participate. This presents the full spectrum of creativity. There is truly a purchase for every shopper.
  • Calvary Art Fest presents the opportunity to meet other artists and crafts people who share your passion. Networking with these other talented people, you can learn exciting things about their process and share what you’ve learned about processes and passions.
  • Whether you have a regular exhibit space or not, this venue offers a great space for your work to be seen and for folks to have an opportunity to purchase one of your pieces, novice or expert. 
Drop-off & Pick-up Art 

Staff from Calvary will be on hand to receive your submissions between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. 

Dates for drop-off are: 

  • Monday, September 14th
  • Tuesday, September 15th

No artwork will be accepted after September 15th.

Submissions that do not sell may be picked up between 1:00 and 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 20st or between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Monday September 21st.  

Must I attend to submit? 

All exhibitors are welcome to attend as much of the Art Fest as they like.  However, if you choose not to attend, we will have individuals on hand to share information about your submissions and to help with sales.
