Be our guest!

We’re glad that you’re here, but we also know looking for a church can be hard work. This is a great place to learn more about who we are and what we are about at Calvary. When you’re ready, check out our online worship or join us on a Sunday morning or both! In the meantime, we’re praying for you as God leads you on your path.

Is your soul looking for a place to call home? Maybe you’ve found it.

What To Expect on Your First Visit

You’ve spent some time on our website. Maybe you’ve joined us online. Perhaps you’re thinking about your first in-person visit. Help us put your mind at ease.

  • How do I get to Calvary? Our historic sanctuary is located at 603 Spring Street in historic downtown Bastrop, near the intersection of Spring & Church streets.
  • Where should I park? Being a downtown church means parking can sometimes be a challenge. You can park in Calvary’s parking lot next to the Bastrop Public Library or in other parking lots in our part of downtown. We have a couple of reserved handicapped spots on Spring Street and in the back of our Parish Hall on Alley A.
  • What do people wear? Calvary is a church at the intersection of boots & suits. You’ll see a bit of everything on Sunday morning and it’s all welcome. So wear what you feel good and comfortable in and come on. God cares about your heart, not your clothes!
  • Where are the restrooms? Our sanctuary is so historic it does not have restrooms. The closest restrooms to the church are in our school building on the other side of the courtyard. We also have plenty of restrooms in the Parish Hall – just follow the signs.
  • Is there food? Yes! At 11 AM, we have Coffee Hour in our Parish Hall so you can get some caffeine and enjoy some refreshments and conversation.
