How can I exhibit?
Each artist or crafts person may submit up to 4 entries. If the submission is a collection of smaller inexpensive pieces such as greeting cards, earrings, or prints, they may be submitted as one piece as long as each item is priced the same (e.g. $10 each, set of 6 for $15).
Bring your item(s) to the Parish Office at 1028 Main Street on Monday, September 15th or Tuesday, September 16th between 9 AM—6 PM.
You MUST complete the submission form fully. You may do this online or download and print out a form for your entries. All entry forms must be submitted no later than September 16th.
We will inventory your items and track all sales for you during the show. There is not entry fee required and you may contribute all your sales to Calvary if you choose rather than take the 60% split of the sale. A single check will be mailed to you for the items you sell.
Why should I exhibit?
Located at the intersection of Main & Spring Street, our Parish Hall is a prime venue for exhibiting your creative efforts. Last year saw hundreds of people visiting the exhibit and many of them making purchases of the art on exhibit.
- There is no entry fee. The artists earn 60% of any pieces they sell. The other 40% of sale price goes to support community ministries at Calvary such as free bag lunches, Open Door meals program, distribution of water to visitors, blood drives, Concerts at Calvary, and other downtown events.
- Artists of any age, both professionals and hobbyists, are encouraged to participate.
- You have the opportunity to meet other artists and crafts people who share your passion. Networking with these other talented people, you can learn exciting things about the art communities in and around Bastrop.
- If you do not have a regular exhibit space or studio, this venue offers a great venue for your work to be seen and for folks to have an opportunity to purchase one of your pieces.
- If you do have a studio or gallery this is a great way to advertise other works that can be found there.
Staff from Calvary will be on hand to receive your submissions between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Dates for drop-off are:
- Monday, September 15th
- Tuesday, September 16th
Submissions that do not sell may be picked up between 2:00 and 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 21st.
Must I attend to submit?
All exhibitors are welcome to attend as much of the Art Fest as they like. However, if you choose not to attend, we will have individuals on hand to share information about your submissions and to help with sales.
